It was obviously a scam. They explained that my Wells Fargo debit card (which I don't have anyway) was stolen and I needed to press a number ( I didn't hear that part) to speak with someone. I started pressing 0's millions of them. I remember hearing that that's what you do to mess up their equipment. I don't know if it works. It just made me mad is all.

The call received was an automated call that was supposedly wtih Wells Fargo Bank and that our debit card had been locked and to press the #1 to reactivate the card and then enter the 16 digit card number. I checked with the bank in person and there was nothing wrong with our account.

-Selling Narcotics via phone with no med record, prescription or anything other than your address and COD. WTF?!! No idea if they are legit but that really doesnt matter. Thats is sooo illegal and dangerous!!! Calling cell phones and selling drugs. So basicaly DRUG DEALERS of the worst kind! They could call any kids cell...tell them to get their parents CC# and send them up to 120 pills of Oxycontin, Morphine,Vicoden, ...... etc..and on and on. I finally got an answer upon calling back and questioned the guy. I acted interested and said I was only 16 and did not have a credit card but I could use my Moms.......and he said No problem!!! I can only hope this is (((yes IS) a ripp off scam because alot of kids will end up dead with crap like this floating around! He said he was calling from CA and had warehouses in Tampa, Fl and Texas I believe. I asked how much this stuff costs and today they had a special!! 30 pills of Oxy for $200. I asked where the drugs are manufactured..and he kept saying they had warehouses in three states (his english was horrid and he could not understand my english very well) so I kept repeating NO where are these drugs made at..not just shipped from and he said Ohhh those are where they are made. So they are made in a warehouse but it is in the USA so it is ok!!
I have had chronic degenerative disc issues in my neck for 8 years and live with pain and know how addictive narcotics can be if mis managed and this is unbelievable. People like this are the reason docs now days have to be so skeptical of anyone needing long term or even first time pain meds and just make people like me...lives harder to deal with due to far more frequent trips to the docs and.........well I am just ranting now. Anyways.....is it even worth reporting to anyone?!
These calls are being made from a Magic Jack-which is usb connected phone device to a PC. It can be made so if anyone calls it back it can be routed to ANY number you choose, or a voice mail...but it is nearly impossible to trace as you would need to get the call on a PC to catch the ISP number. I just got a call but did not answer and when calling back it said "The magic jack customer your calling can not be reached at the moment, leave a message etccc.".
I used a magic jack to call back and this is why I heard the message. Then I tried again and heard a lot of background noise like a telemarketing room and then a beep for a message. These SOB's called on my cell and we all seriously need to ban together and somehow get lawsuits going against telemarketers that call cells and text to cells!! This issue has seriously annoyed me a great deal and something needs to be done to stop this crap before everyone has skyrocketed cell bills!!
